People
are all about masks and disguises. This isn't a bad thing; it's what
lets us survive the world at large. We wear one mask with our
families, another with friends, and yet another at work. For some
the mask is very much like the real person beneath, for others it is
very different. One of the things I love about photography is that
sometimes I get to look behind the mask and see the real person. I
love more than anything working with a camera shy model, and, when
reviewing the pictures afterwards, hearing the excitement in his
voice as he sees that one photo in fifty and says "Oh, I like that
one."
