Photography for me has been an intermittent endeavor because other
areas of the arts, music and playwriting, which were my first
loves, have continued to lure me in their directions.
I first picked up a camera with serious intentions about 15 years
ago and was encouraged early-on when I placed second in a
photographic contest sponsored by the Washington State Department
of Ecology--and no, it was not a picture of a male nude!
In the 1990s some of my images were published as greeting cards
and as poster art, and I had two solo shows and participated in
many group shows. Needing some time from behind the lens, I
stopped shooting for 5 years, but started again about a year ago,
showing two new images at the 2006 Pride Art Exhibit.
Queer Eyes 3 is my first exhibit with the Image Collective, and I
am delighted to be included in this group of of talented,
accomplished photographers.
